Masterclasses

An all-day program of masterclasses by iconic wineries & special guest:

·       11:00 – 11:45 · The terroir(s) of Corsica – by local sommelier & educator Romain Paoli: Discover and taste the distinct characteristics of Corsican wines linked to their terroirs and influences. Given by Romain Paoli from the Corsican Wine Trade Board. 

·       12:00 – 12:45 · Patrimonio - Cantina di Torra, Antoine-Marie Arena & Giacometti: Tasting by three of the frontrunners of a new generation of excellent winemakers that take the capital of Corsican wines to the next level - with more natural, more native grape varieties and more terroir-driven styles.

·       13:00 – 13:45 · The Essence of Calcaire du Trias Domaine de Terrebrune: Discover Terrebrune's exceptional terroir: Calcaire de Trias. Monsieur Delille guides you through this unique terroir and savoir faire winemaking, producing elegant Bandol by tasting recent and older vintages of white, rosé, and red.

·       14:00 – 14:45 · Le mystère de la Migoua - Domaine Tempier: The La Migoua vineyard represents the perfect marriage between the Mourvèdre grape and its distinctive Provençal terroir. Vertical tasting spanning multiple decades presented by Daniel Ravier.

·       15:00 – 15:45 · Le Tibouren par Excellence - Clos Cibonne: Disover the ancient grape 'Tibouren' through this tasting journey with different cuvées and vintages from Clos Cibonne.

·       16:00 – 16:45 · Five Decades - Domaine de Trévallon: Eloï Durrbach's adventure began in the late 1970s, with the wines reaching great heights from the early 1980s onwards. In this masterclass, Aimeric (long-time Chef de Cave) will explain & sample the wines from the past five decades.

·       17:00 – 17:45 · The Two Faces of Southern Corsica - Clos Canarelli & Abbatucci: The two legends of southern Corsica will show why their wines are considered to be among the best of Corsica, France and the world.

Dinner 
Monday 27 October · from 19:00 onwards

An invite-only dinner bringing together winemakers, importers, crew, and special guests. A multi-course menu crafted by the Michelin-starred team at Restaurant Wils and a one-night-only wine list featuring rare bottles from Provence and Corsica. Personal invites will follow.

Registration

Due to the popularity of the event and to avoid no-shows, this is a ticketed event. There are 2 types of tickets:

·      Entry to the open tasting - €10

·      Winemaker’s masterclasses - €15

All tickets include admission to the wine tasting with winemakers and importers. No cancellations or refunds.
